Optical Sensors - Photo Detectors - CdS Cells
Working Principle: CdS cells are based on the photoconductive effect of cadmium sulfide. They consist of a thin layer of cadmium sulfide material that exhibits varying resistance depending on the amount of light falling on it. As the intensity of incident light increases, the resistance of the CdS cell decreases, and vice versa.
